Lots of cool things living on the beach or on the rocks between the tides. Every day is an adventure, never know what is going to show up. Today started with watching the beach while having breakfast and down the cliff came a family of otters. They scurried across the beach and then into the water and spent a few minutes searching for food in the shallow water over the rocks as the tide came in and then took off into the water beyond the tide and were seen no more today. Yesterday morning there was a solitary seal fishing/playing in the water just offshore of the largest of the rocks in the water in front of our window. Every day there are “rafts” of sea birds floating just off shore, they cover the water and then all at once they all dive underwater looking for fish. Think they are cormorants. They sit on the rocks and dry their wings in the afternoon.

Here’s another set of images of things living on the beach and tide pools.
