Onward we cruised to Icy Strait Point for a lovely walk through the forest and an amazing sunset.
Temperate rain forest all along this northern coast. Lots of moss and the trees composting themselves as they die off and support the next generation.
More rain forest
Skagway is the crab capitol of the country and Icy Strait was where we found a crab restaurant that wasn’t out of crab and we couldn’t miss our chance to sample. But verrrry expensive., $60 for these two crab legs. but we just had to have crab! this pic is a before and the next is after.
We ate it all!
couldn’t have crab without some orca beer
Icy Strait is along a gravel beach and apparently Orca country as this large statue suggests.
Eagle in a tree at the shoreline watching the tourists
Aboard the ship, evening dinner music with a string quartet in one of the lounges before dinner
